This course is for those who have always wanted to skate and haven't done so yet and want to start from scratch. It is also for the self taught adult beginner skater who had no fears to get rolling but who can't stop well and feels uncomfortable turning or at speed.
Let's get the ball rolling and learn the basic skills required to skate! The class consists of the following:
Basic Movement
Heel Brake Stop
A-Frame Turn
Chest Pain, Chest Tightness, Chest Pressure, and Chest Discomfort, Shortness of Breath.
Pain, numbness, weakness or coldness in your legs or arms if the blood vessels in those parts of your body is narrowed.
There are obvious physical health benefits of roller skating, but there are also mental health benefits of roller sports as well. Roller skating clears the mind, minimizes mild forms of depression, and it just makes you happy.Roller skating reduces bad hormones and while it does this, it increases the good endorphins, which are commonly known as the ‘happy hormones’.
